Kimiko Nishi is the accompanist for the voice class of Greta de Reyghere at the Royal Conservatorium of Liège, and since 2002 leads a pianoforte workshop within the context of a chamber music course.
It was under the influence of Stanislav Heller that the young pianist directed her attention towards historical instruments. She studied harpsichord with Aline Zylberajch and continuo with Martin Gester (Le Parlement de Musique) and Jos van Immerseel before specialising in pianoforte at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris.
She is a founding member of the ensemble Atys which she formed together with flautist Toon Fret and violinist Sara Kuijken. She performs regularly as a duo with Ryo Terakado, concertmaster of La Petite Bande, and with the tenor Thibaut Lenearts. Her talent as an interpreter of the contemporary repertoire for harpsichord is sought after by such ensembles as Het Collectief, Ictus, Oxalys and the Orchestre National de Belgique
