Christian Beuse has given courses at the Hochschule für Musik of Frankfurt since 2001, has taught since 2006 at the Université des Arts of Berlin and in addition gives master classes at the International Sommerakademie of Innsbruck.

He is first bassoon of the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and has also occupied this position for the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées under the direction of Philippe Herreweghe. For over 18 years he has worked in collaboration with Nikolaus Harnoncourt in his orchestra Concentus Musicus Wien.

Together with colleague Guy van Waas he has been a member of the quintet Reicha, an ensemble specialising on pre-romantic instruments, since its formation in 1992. This chamber music ensemble has made 8 cd recordings for the New Classical Adventure label.
