Caroline Ducrest is a performer of both contemporary and baroque dance. She followed her studies at the conservatoriums of dance in Annecy, La Rochelle and Avignon and has taken part in numerous master classes.
Her involvement in baroque music since 2003 has given her the opportunity to participate in productions in collaboration with Christine Bayle, Ana Yepes, Cécile Roussat and Julien Lubek , Gudrun Skamletz and Béatrice Massin. Her fascination with the physical aspect in general has lead her to integrate other genres such as fencing and martial arts into her work, in addition to various aerial techniques.
Amongst her many tours she has danced at the Opéra National de Paris, the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, the Royal Albert Hall-BBC Proms 2007, and at numerous festivals in collaboration with such stage directors and conductors as Benjamin Lazar, Robert Carsen, Vincent Dumestre, Sir John Eliot Gardiner and Gabriel Garrido.
Since 2007 Caroline Ducrest has performed both as solo dancer and choreographer in the multi-disciplinary production De Humanis Humoribus, which she co-wrote with director Jean Denis Monory.
