FAQ
1. Where should they go on the first day?
We'll welcome trainees arriving the 5th to the boarding school.
Many shuttles will be organised in the afternoon between station and the boarding school (people must forward their arriving hour to the stage managing)
For people arriving the 6th a.m.: appointment from 8.30 in Sainte-Marie school (5min on foot from Namur station)
Lessons will begin at 9.30
2. Is there any resistration on the first day to have a student ID etc??
Welcome and informations will be propose in the boarding school the 5th p.m. or the 6th a.m. before 9.30
3. How many lesson does a student take at least?
Class size are limited to 12 trainees but generally, we try not exceed 10.
Each teacher organise his masterclass but the average is 5 lessons (approx. 45min to 1 hour) on the week. Of course all students are invited and free to listen every lessons that they want (in their own class but also in the others) during the week.
4. Where is the lessons taking place? Please give us the address and the name in this year? It takes place in Namur?
Lessons take place in Sainte-Marie school Rue du Président, 26-28 / 5000 NAMUR
5. When will a student know the schedule? on the first day?
We'll send all informations in june.
6. Are there any practice rooms, free of charge, for students?
Of course, There are approximately 40 rooms for trainees use.
7. There are any performance opportunity? If you have it, "all" students can perform in public or only selected students by teachers can perform in public?
We organise 2 ilks of concerts
- One Concert the 11th midday in Sainte Marie school, to give opportunity to students to present their works
- Concerts are planed in the evening in many places in the city. These concerts are organised by the Festival Musical de Namur. Choice of works and groupes is done during the week by teachers.
If trainees don't want to play to these concerts, no obligations. Full freedom is let to the trainees as for their priorities.
8. An accompanist is includeing in the fees?
4 accompanists will be in the seminary, but they will be not permanently for students use (They will accompagny some instrumental or vocal classes). We favour interactions between trainees to practise together.
9. Do you issue the certification of attendance?
Yes, each trainees who ask it, will receive a receipt and a certification of attendance.
10. Do you rent an instrument free of charge?
We don't rent instruments.
Nevertheless, there will have harpsichords, a positif orgel and 1 or 2 forte piano that students could use.
11. Do you have any Japanese translator? if you have, please let us know the price of interpretation per lessons.
We don't have a Japanese translator, but nevertheless, one of the teacher is japanese and an other speaks also japanese.
12. Regarding accommodation, from when and until when a student can stay your accommodation? Check in on 5th July and check out 13th July can be possible? We have to think about the flight booking.
Students can arrive the 5th p.m. and must go the 13th at midday (max.) --- extra charge to pay for the night from 12th to 13th
13. The room is single or double or triple or more?
Rooms are single
14. Do you arrange the airport transfer (pick up and drop off)? If you do, please give us the price.
No, nothing in planed.
But there are many trains between the Brussel airport station (via Brussel north station) and Namur station. It's quite easy.
15. To avoid expensive bank transfer, we could pay you the whole fees at once?
Of course
16. For recorder making course, the accommodation fees are included from 5 to 10th July or from 5th to 12th?
Recordermaking workshop takes place from the 6th to 9th, therefor accomodation fees are included only in these period.
If trainees want to stay longer, they must pay 50€ more.
17. On 5th July, until what time must a student check in? Maybe you have a meeting at 5pm on 5th July, he/she must check in until 5pm? I have to think about the flight booking.
We'll try to adjust for hours but the best will be to arrive before 7.00 p.m.
18. Please tell me the extra fees for accommodation on 12th July? on 13th check out.
Night will cost 15€ more (breakfast included but no evening meal planed in the evening)
On the other hand, I have done a mistake in my last mail, for the night from 5th to 6th, trainees must pay 15€ and the evening meal is offered.
